Drinking water

Prefer bottled water. Tap water is drinkable in major cities but may cause discomfort.

Mosquitoes

Minimal risk. No malaria.

General notes

Private clinics in major cities are of good quality. Pharmacies are numerous and well stocked.

Women travelers

Verbal harassment (comments, whistling) is common in some tourist areas. Clothing covering shoulders and knees reduces unwanted attention. Travelling in pairs is more comfortable.

LGBTQ+ travelers

Homosexuality is illegal in Morocco (up to 3 years in prison). Absolute discretion is essential.
