Women travelers
Bali is very welcoming. In conservative regions (Aceh, rural areas), wear modest clothing out of cultural respect and for safety.
LGBTQ+ travelers
Homosexuality is not illegal except in Aceh (local Sharia law). Discretion is advised outside tourist areas.
