One of the safest countries for solo women travelers in the Middle East. Harassment rare. Modest dress appreciated (shoulders and knees covered), mandatory in mosques.

Homosexuality is not explicitly illegal (decriminalized in 1976), more tolerant than its neighbors, but indecency laws can target LGBTQ+ people. Discretion advised in public.
