Mikrolets (minibuses, 0.25 USD) and yellow taxis in Dili. Between cities, local buses and crowded minibuses; 4x4 or moto-taxi (ojek) for the interior. Car rental with driver advised for the east.

Securite

Overall safe and peaceful. Watch out: saltwater crocodiles on the coasts (except Atauro), difficult roads, poor medical coverage outside Dili.
