No trains. Shared 'service' taxis very cheap in town, vans/buses between cities, rental car for freedom. Beirut is congested: allow for travel times and the lack of pavements.

Securite

Situation instable : tensions et frappes recurrentes dans le sud et la banlieue sud de Beyrouth malgre le cessez-le-feu. La plupart des gouvernements deconseillent le voyage. Le nord de la cote (Byblos, Batroun) et Beyrouth-centre restent plus calmes mais la vigilance est de mise.
