Etiquette
At the pub, you don't help yourself: the server tallies the beers on a ticket and you pay at the end
A coaster placed in front of you filling up with tally marks means you'll automatically be brought a new beer until you say stop
You toast while making eye contact, saying 'Na zdravi', then tap the glass on the table before drinking
The tip is stated when you pay (you say the total amount you want), you don't leave the coins on the table
Regime
Smazeny syr (fried cheese) is the go-to vegetarian fallback everywhere
Bramborak, sweet palačinky and vegetable soups are widely available
Prague and Brno have a well-developed vegetarian/vegan scene, more limited in the countryside
