- •Pastizzi (ricotta pastries) cost 0.50-1 EUR and stave off hunger for next to nothing
- •The bus is the budget traveler's best friend: 2 EUR a ride outside summer (2.50 EUR from mid-June to mid-October)
- •The Explore Card gives 7 days of unlimited buses on Malta + Gozo for 25 EUR, quickly paying for itself
- •Prices rise sharply in July-August: aim for May, June or September for accommodation
