- •Eat at the stolovaya (Soviet self-service canteens): a full meal for 3-5 EUR
- •The tenge strengthened against the euro in 2025-2026, but the country remains very affordable
- •Excursions to Charyn or the Kolsai lakes cost half as much in a shared marshrutka as on a private tour
- •Yandex Go (l'équivalent d'Uber) évite de négocier les prix des taxis à Almaty et Astana

- •Change at the 'Обмен валют' offices in the city centres: far better rates than the airport
- •Euros and dollars are exchanged everywhere, other currencies much harder
- •Vérifier le taux du jour (env. 1 EUR = 600 KZT en 2026) avant de changer
